Simon Tot from ELES presented the action SINCRO.GRID-Phase 1 at the meeting on Wednesday 9 October. Initially, he briefly presented the purpose, objectives and timeline of the project. Afterwards he focused on activities already undertaken by the project partners. Contracts have been signed and activities are underway to install compensation devices for reactive power control in the Mraclin, Melina and Divača substations and for the installation of the battery electricity storage systems in the Okroglo and Pekre substations. Testing of energy-efficient weather stations for transmission line installation is underway, which will be an important source of data for the dynamic thermal rating of the transmission capacity of the transmission network elements, and experts from ELES and HOPS are establishing a virtual cross-border control centre.
Procurement procedures are in progress for the procurement of a stationary compensation device with a SVC/STATCOM technology at the Beričevo substation and a stationary compensation device with a SVC technology at the Konjsko substation.
