VSR 200 MVAr in the Melina substation - successful delivery

On Wednesday, 23. September, a 200 MVAr variable shunt reactor was delivered at the construction site (SS 400/220/110 kV Melina). The installation of a 200 MVAr variable shunt reactor is carried out according to the contract between the Croatian Transmission System Operator (HOPS) and Siemens Energy d.o.o., as part of the European smart grid project SINCRO.GRID.

PROJECT PARTNERS

The partners in the project were transmission and distribution system operator from Slovenia and Croatia (ELES, SODO, HOPS, HEP ODS).

Having demonstrated its conformity with EU policies in the field of smart grids, the project was selected in 2016 for co-financing under the Connecting Europe Facility call.
