Virtual cross-border control centre consists of numerous IT and TC solutions that enable data acquisition from renewable energy sources for better observability of energy networks and more accurate estimation of renewable energy sources production. Furthermore, it allows a reliable exchange of operational data between the project partners. It enables the possibility of including new balancing service providers, thereby increasing the grid flexibility, exchanging operational data following modern standards, and optimizing the network voltage to ensure voltage conditions within the permitted operating limits.
