Electrical work will begin shortly, and the variable shunt reactor is expected to start operating in the autumn.

The partners in the project were transmission and distribution system operator from Slovenia and Croatia (ELES, SODO, HOPS, HEP ODS).
Having demonstrated its conformity with EU policies in the field of smart grids, the project was selected in 2016 for co-financing under the Connecting Europe Facility call.
