The 15th Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) conference entitled Research and Innovation to deliver a just and sustainable energy transition was held in Bled between 25 and 26 November. The aim of this year's SET Plan Conference is to contribute to current debates on climate and energy policies, as well as the Member States' recovery and resilience investments and reforms for addressing the economic and social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, whilst ensuring that their economies undertake the green and digital transitions, becoming more sustainable and resilient.

During the conference, ELES presented the results of three international projects, including the SINCRO.GRID project. The project coordinator Simon Tot from ELES  presented the results and findings of the SINCRO.GRID. He emphasized that the SINCRO.GRID project is important because it connected the two countries in solving network voltage challenges and thus reduced costs for each system operator. In addition, it introduces elements of smart grids on the two countries' transmission networks. An important contribution of the project is also its replicability.
