As part of the SINCRO.GRID project, an optimal combination of various high-tech advanced devices for reactive power compensation and voltage regulation, was installed in the Slovenian and Croatian power systems. The last of the devices, the static synchronous compensator (STATCOM), was installed in the Beričevo substation in Slovenia. All work is completed, and STATCOM is in trial operation pending technical inspection.
