The gathered audience was at first greeted by European Parliament members Krišjāņis Karinš and Claude Turmes, coordinators in the European Parliament for Industry, Research and Energetics Committee. Later on there were examples of good practices in terms of cooperation between Slovenia and Croatia regarding smart networks.

SINCRO.GRID project, that is a part of  the list of projects in common interest of the European Commission (PCI - Projects of common interests), was presented by mag. Simon Tot from ELES. He pointed out that the aim of SINCRO.GRID project is to enable a more efficient use of the current portable electric system in Slovenia and Croatia, which will enable the existing electric infrastructure to accept larger quantities of electric energy from renewable sources and be able to provide a more reliable source of electric energy, without needing to build new electrical lines above ground.  He also said that ELES, that is coordinating the project, is working with HOPS, SODO and HEP-ODS. These kind of presentations are important, because they are an opportunity for exchanging good practices, connect on an international level and a source of ideas for building new projects regarding smart networks, added mag. After presenting the efficient co-operation between Slovenian and Croatian partners in the field of smart networks, the gathered were addressed by Beatrice Code, energy and IKT field leader at INEA agency, Anna Colluci, Director-General for Energetics representative and Alex Volkery, Director-General of mobility and traffic representative. This was followed by a discussion and conclusion of the event, which was given by a member of the European parliament Franc Bogovič.
