On Tuesday, 22. November, participants at the Slovenian Association for Quality and Excellence event discussed dealing with upcoming changes in the field of the green transition. Among the speakers at the conference was the coordinator of the SINCRO.GRID project, mag. Simon Tot from ELES. He introduced the participants to the challenges system operators face due to rapid changes in the power system - daily problems with overvoltage, reduced volume of system services, and threats to supply reliability. He then presented the participants with the devices and advanced solutions that the project partners have integrated into the Slovenian and Croatian power grid, thereby increasing the reliability of the power system.
In conclusion, he emphasized that investments in smart grids also require changes in approaches and perceptions of the future of energy systems and their transformation.
