Jernej Majcen (ELES) presented the objectives and goals of the project to municipal councillors and informed then on the planned installation of compensation devices in the area of the Beričevo substation. Igor Rozman, M.Sc., from the Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute (EIMV) presented to participants a review of environmental requirements for the installation of reactive power compensation devices. Following the presentation, the representatives of ELES and EIMV answered the questions of municipal councillors, which were primarily focused on potential increases in values of sound emissions and electromagnetic radiation, and the resulting degradation of the living environment. ELES' representatives responded to those present that all values of sound emissions and electromagnetic radiation resulting from the installation of compensation devices will be within the legally prescribed limit values.
The municipal councillors received a promotional brochure of the SINCRO.GRID Project.
