Ervin Planinc, M.Sc. (ELES) presented the objectives and goals of the project to municipal councillors and informed them on the planned installation of battery electricity storage units in the area of the Okroglo substation. Simon Tot, M.Sc. (ELES), presented analyses of impacts of the installation of battery electricity storage units on the environment. After the presentation, ELES' representatives answered the questions of municipal councillors regarding sound emissions and electromagnetic radiation.

The municipal councillors received a brochure presenting the purposes and goals of the project and the technologies that will be used in the project.

On Wednesday, 15 November 2017, the SINCRO.GRID project was presented to the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Naklo, since construction works under this project are also planned at the Okroglo substation, which is situated in this municipality.

PROJECT PARTNERS

The partners in the project were transmission and distribution system operator from Slovenia and Croatia (ELES, SODO, HOPS, HEP ODS).

Having demonstrated its conformity with EU policies in the field of smart grids, the project was selected in 2016 for co-financing under the Connecting Europe Facility call.
